North Lindsey

Welcome to North Lindsey u3a

For those retired but not tired of life! Join us on a journey of enjoyment, friendship and discovery.

We have a main meeting in Scawby Village Hall once a month, where you can make new friends and listen to an interesting talk from a speaker expert in their subject.

You can join one or more interest groups which are run throughout the month at various locations or you could start a group yourself.

Would you like to join us?

We welcome anyone who is keen to join with us to promote wellbeing, learning and friendship among the retired and semi-retired community.

  • do you want to meet people with similar interests as your own?
  • do you want to follow up on those interests?
  • are you looking for a new interest or hobby?
  • are you lonely or in need of friendship?

What is u3a?

The U3A stands for 'The University of the Third Age' - the first age being childhood, the second age is caring or employment and the third - retirement. We never stop learning! That is the basic ethos of the U3A but with the emphasis on fun, friendship, sociability and enjoyment! The motto of the u3a is, Learn, Laugh, Live and that ethos is shared by all the members.
